Jamieson Brookes began volunteering with Maine Boys to Men in 2016 on the Development Committee and joined the board shortly after. He is a graduate of the University of Maine Orono (German) and the Thunderbird School of International Management. He has spent much of his working years in the import and export of wood products, having also had a rewarding stint with Portland-based CIEE. He is the proud father of two adult daughters and lives in Yarmouth, where he and his late wife (Birgit, from Berlin, Germany) settled in 1995. Other volunteer work includes serving on the board and committee for the First Universalist Church in Yarmouth, and as a guest blog writer for the Cancer Community Center in South Portland. He is passionate about social justice and looks forward to the continued growth and success of Maine Boys to Men.
