Announcing 7 Maine Training Institutes in 2023

Learn to lead our Reducing Sexism and Violence Program (RSVP®) in your community!

Our Reducing Sexism & Violence Program (RSVP®) was developed in partnership with the US Department of Justice Office on Violence against Women. Since 2006 we have reached over 13,000 youth with this unique, interactive, and evidence-based violence prevention program. We know RSVP® helps to reduce harmful outcomes and create safer communities, but our small team is only capable of reaching about 2,000 students each year.

That’s why we created our Training Institute. We now train youth-serving adults and parents far and wide, equipping them to independently deliver RSVP® and dramatically increase our impact.

*RSVP® is designed for students of all genders and can be adapted for varying age groups.

Our Training Institute consists of two days of interactive learning, each running from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. At the end of the second day, participants are equipped to deliver RSVP® to youth in their own schools, after school programs, sports teams, or other youth oriented setting.

Participants also become part of our Online Learning Network with access to our latest curriculum materials, community discussion forums, and continued professional development. To date, more than 150 people have gone through our Training Institute and can now make RSVP® accessible to youth in their own communities.
